Williamsburg Brooklyn in the late 80s early 90s. These photos show why my father (who moved to Bushwick in the late 70s) was initially horrified when I decided to move here from the Flushing/Bayside area of Queens. A lot has changed.

Monster Island in Williamsburg is being knocked over to build, who knows, another condo. To draw the “curtains” on the space, they spilled paint down the side of the building covering its famous murals. (Source)
